Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and decisions are released promptly once the application is complete. While it is encouraged to apply early to secure your spot and allow ample time for planning, applications will continue to be accepted up until the start of classes for each respective semester. The statement of purpose is the most important element of your application packet. This letter needs to reflect who you are, your goals, and why you would be an asset to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. It is very important to ensure it is grammatically correct and as detailed as possible. The statement of purpose should be no more than two pages in length. Please review what you have written before you submit it. The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at the University of Miami is designed for individuals committed to public service who are interested in navigating the challenges of leadership in the public sector. We are excited to welcome students with a strong commitment to this goal. Please submit a personal statement (maximum 750 words) addressing the following:
Two letters of recommendation must be provided, the letters must be from either a former faculty member/instructor or a workplace supervisor. These letters should be submitted in English, or they should be accompanied with a certified English translation.
